AAMSO Pod 412

The story so far…

3321 hasn’t been a great year for the AAMSOs.

Positive developments aren’t always positive for everyone. The Arboreal Re-set has triggered an upsurge in re-territorialisation practices.

AAMSO Benefactors are therefore keen to promote knowledge generated directly via Arboreal sources in the context of current ecosystems. Immersive explorations via Mechanistic hybrids such as insitu-intuito and the dioramatron have lost their appeal for 34th century cultural arbiters.

As stated in the Official Notification of Impending AAMSO Redundancies (ONIAR-21):

While the work of the AAMSOs will always be held in the highest esteem by The Benefactors, the difficult decision to disband the service was reached regretfully, but unanimously at an extraordinary sunset meeting held in lunar cycle ten.

In the last instalment of Unquiet Voices, AAMSOs Olivish and Eli were the only two field hacktivists remaining at their terrestrial workstations near Miegunyah Site 2.

Olivish agreed to do Eli’s scheduled insitu immersion because Eli had other things on his mind.

While Eli pursued a new fascination with inaccessible 21st century handheld computers, Olivish explored intuitive knowledge via a photograph from The Miegunyah Collection titled The Benevolent Asylum (c.1860s) by Charles Nettleton. She was also interested in the remnants of an ancient register for the asylum that had been recovered from a storage box on a nearby site.

Meanwhile, AAMSO Roger, took a last turn in the dioramatron with Nettleton’s artefact and uncovered ancient voices that refuse to remain quiet, despite their apparent and ongoing redundancy in “a buying-and-selling historical milieu.

So how did our AAMSOs adjust to the news of their redundancies?

Olivish anticipated a transition to deep-time life in her Social Hub, which will be more fun she thinks, but not without a sense of nostalgia for her work with the AAMSOs.

Roger is still coming to terms with the view that human artefacts have served their purpose for the time being and are better left undisturbed.

Eli is busy with other matters but knows time has come to consider alternative occupations and life paths.

There’s only one job pending for Roger and Eli; the last AAMSO pod broadcast …
